B-BBEE & DEVELOPMENT
Quantum fully subscribes to the National Government’s policies of Transformation, Black Economic Empowerment, Gender Equality and Community Development. As a responsible Corporate Entity we will endeavour to meet and exceed these requirements without compromising on quality and deliverables.
Stated briefly, the primary direction of the policy is towards our present and future staff and their families and is aimed at creating opportunities for education, training and development in the workplace of those men and women who can be described as being historically/previous disadvantaged within South African society.
This will be achieved as follows:
OWNERSHIP
Quantum’s ownership will always be held in the majority by historical and previously
Disadvantaged individuals and may be summarised as follows:
The Enterprise is 100% Black Owned as per Amended Code Series 100 of the Amended Codes of Good Practice issued under section 9 (1) of B-BBEE Act No 53 of 2003 as Amended by Act No 46 of 2013.
The Enterprise is a Level 1 contributor to B-BBEE (135% B-BBEE procurement recognition level) The above demonstrates our commitment to Economic Empowerment. In addition to ownership the director of the company is also involved closely in the day to day activities of the company and decision making.
TRAINING
In-house training is to be undertaken to suit the requirements of such persons and takes the form of workshops, seminars and the like. Such training is supervised by the directors and partners.
In addition every effort is made to ensure that disadvantaged persons are placed within project teams on major developments.
DEVELOPMENT
Advancement opportunities are investigated and, where appropriate, granted to those persons in this category who are already employed Where vacancies occur, preference, at this stage, is given to such disadvantaged persons as may apply. However, it is recognised that a successful affirmative action policy must avoid destructive tokenism.
Taking the above into consideration it is important to note that we offer opportunity, training and advancement to all our employees, regardless of their race, gender, religion or culture.
We provide opportunities for training and mentorship, shared knowledge, career growth and a genuine commitment to encouraging and recognising initiative and contribution.
